ultimate flight knew something was wrong midway through the rollercoaster ride. herald and his two cousins from hayward were in the first and second row. >> it stopped a few feet before we were upside down. that pardon of the ride it does slow down. when it slowed down and came to a complete stop i was like, oh, man. something is wrong. >> it is unclear why the train car stalled. he said he did his best to keep his mind pre occupied. he also turned to god throughout the whole ordeal. >> laughing and cracking jokes. i was trying to keep calm. at one point i brought out my rosary and said a prayer. >> it took awhile for crews to figure out what to do. as they were mulling it over they distributed bottled water to the guests, and they told them to try to shake the car loose which didn't work. >> they were telling us to shake back and forth, and to me it wasn't really doing much of the it felt like it wasn't moving at all. >> finally the mechanics

peek before it opened last month. as you can see it features plenty of twists and turns this is not the first time this was discovered. a boomerang was stuck in august of 2010. they stranded riders in 1999 and the air pressure problem caused "the roar" to shutdown and nobody was hurt in any of those situation. in developing news, pg&e crews are working right now in south san francisco to fix a power outage that affected thousands of customers and stranded people in a bart station elevator. firecrews rescued three people stuck in a south san francisco bart station elevator after the power went out just before 8:30. for unknown reasons power lines came down on altaloma drive. customers in daley daly city are also being affected. pg&e says power won't be restored until 2:00 a.m. tomorrow the man accused

gardening you -- shoes. it took firefighters two hours to put a fire out this afternoon. it happened off columbus parkway. the smoke could be seen on the other side of the straight. the fire burned about two acres of vegetation and 20 feet of fence willing. fencing. crews are making progress on a wildfire burning near men dough seen know county. you can see the plume of smoke in this video sent to us by abc7 news viewer. the fire burned 400 acres and is 55% contained. a case of animal cruelty in sacramento. police say a man left a box of kittens in front of an animal shelter and then ran over them. these little babies six out of the eight kittens survived. officials at the shelter say witnesses saw the man leave the box in a gutter. when someone tried to get his attention, the man got into

infringement for copying the ipad and iphone and scrolling technology. tomorrow a jury is expected to be selected. apple is demanding $2.5 billion in damages and intends to push for more injunctions. on the housing front, the sales of new homes nationwide slumped in june, but they are still running 15% higher than a year ago. this is especially true in the northeast where home sales in massachusetts jumped 20% over laster yo. it is far below what is needed for healthy new home construction. but the low interest rates are pushing things in the right direction. there was a spec today at the san diego zoo. she gave birth to her 6th cub. this is video of her cuddling her baby and changing positions to make it more comfortable. it is just four ounces. at age 20 she is one of the giat oldest giant pandas to give birth.

hour. and even down the peninsula, san carlos. mild still and extreme east bay location and antioch is 73 degrees right now. it is 60 in livermore and 63 in concord and san francisco with the overcast moving in. here is the story, the low clouds will spread inland. it will be a sunny, mild day, and beyond that we will start to warm up as we head into the middle part of our workweek. lows will drop to the mid to low 50s near the bay, the peninsula and as well as the coast. warmer though the further east you go with antioch getting down to only 62 degrees. as you head out tomorrow morning beginning at 7:00 a.m., low clouds and fog pretty much right near the coast. 50 to 60 degrees is the temperature spread. temperatures inland close to 80 degrees. 4:00 hour we will have 60s

at the coast with sunshine there. mid to low 90s in the east bay. and by 7:00 we will hold some of the heat with sunshine inland and 90s and 50s with a little fog redeveloping right near the coast. here is the set up for the rest of the workweek. high pressure is off the coast and starting to build in. it will continue to bring us the fog coast side. but as we head into wednesday and thursday it will start to build in over the bay area. that will mean warmer temperatures in the east bay locations. low pressure here will bring a chance of isolated thunderstorms near the sierra as we head into the midweek time frame as well. if you have any plans going to yosemite or lake tahoe there is a possibility of isolated thunderstorms. our highs for tomorrow, san jose delightful and 83. sunnyvale 80. 78 for redwood city. half moon bay 63 degrees. 68 for downtown san francisco. in the north bay, hot 90s.
